Koura is a bold, forward-thinking mare with plenty of attitude and presence. She is looking for a confident, capable rider who enjoys a responsive horse that will keep them engaged. She is not suitable for beginners or nervous riders — she needs someone who can ride with intent and handle a horse that can be a bit sharp at times.

About Koura

* 10-year-old, 14hh pleasure trekking mare with plenty of miles and real-world experience.

* Forward-going and responsive with all the buttons — she expects a rider who knows how to use them.

* Brave and confident on the trails, happy to lead, follow, or head out on her own.

* Extremely sure-footed and comfortable over rivers, hills, forestry tracks, rough country, and uneven terrain.

* Barefoot and has worked consistently over varied terrain without needing shoes.

* Has experience carrying pigs and is a genuine little bush horse that thrives on having a job.

* Not nasty, but she is not a kick-along — she can be reactive if not ridden with clarity and confidence.

* Best suited to a gutsy teenager or small adult with solid riding experience.

Handling

* Easy to catch, halter, groom, rug, and handle on the ground.

* Good for the farrier and stands well for routine handling.

* Floats well and travels quietly.

* Used to a busy trekking environment and all the day-to-day handling that comes with it.
